Aren’t the flowers pretty?
I uploaded these and other flower macro photography shots captured yesterday on the Bridge of Flowers in the Pioneer Valley village of Shelburne Falls.
A far cry from the lovely sidewalk flower pots in Newburyport, the Bridge of Flowers is a one-of-a-kind wonder of the world. Outside of botanical gardens, I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen so many flowers, traditional and exotic, in one place. And not just roses and sunflowers either.
Yesterday afternoon, I left Newburyport and drove three hours to the serene mountain town of Hancock, nestled at the base of Jiminy Peak in the Berkshires.
With family and some friends, I’ll be here over the next few days resting and relaxing as Independence Day approaches.
Until my next entry, enjoy the flowers.
