Google Doodles the Olympics

Have you noticed that the Google doodle is changing every day in response to a different Olympic Sport?

Today being August 19 in the United States, viewers in the western hemisphere (google.com, google.ca, google.ag, etc.) and parts of western Europe (google.uk, google.it, google.de, google.ae, google.es, etc.) see what looks like Michael Phelps (or a sperm, depending who you ask) swimming:

Whereas people viewing google.cn, google.jp, google.ru and other Google sites where it is already August 20 see a horse racing around a track:

I don’t know why Atlantic Ocean regions with Google domains are showing the horse right now, such as the Bahamas at google.bs and Greenland with google.gl, but no matter; it will be the 20th soon enough.

If you want to see a running list of the daily logos, visit Tech Dreams.

Stay tuned to my next post that focuses on Google’s domains in relation to social networking and personal branding.

Oh, is that what those are? Do horses participate in the Olympics now?
