Happy almost birthday, Israel

After re-reading travel diaries from my Israel trip last June and July, and considering 2008 marks Israel’s 60th anniversary, I wonder if I can find the time (and the expense) to return this year. It would be sweet to celebrate the anniversary with my Jerusalem cousins.

Mom turns 60 in the beginning of May, and my dad’s birthday would have been at the end of the month. Sis and I are talking with our step-brother to figure out the best gift for mom. Knowing she sometimes reads this blog, I’ll keep those ideas silent.
