How I’ll Help the Kindred Spirits in Newburyport

by Ari Herzog on January 21, 2009 · 2 comments

Thinking about soupFeaturing all-natural soups by the same company that caters to Whole Foods, Newburyport Current reporter Alyson Aiello describes the Kindred Spirits Kitchen as a place where area residents ought to flock for a winter respite.

Her review was published in November 2007, the day it opened.

After reading a plea for help by local blogger Tom Salemi, the organic eatery, which TripAdvisor solo reviewer syntexsue described as a “great spot to stop,” may close.

I haven’t visited the Kindred Spirits yet, but I’ll plan to stop by tomorrow and post the first Yelp review. I’ll also take my camera, and in Chris Brogan style about restaurants and social media, will take some pictures.

TripAdvisor and Yelp offer two easy ways for restaurants and other attractions to receive buzz. Positive or negative, reviews go a long way. Individual blog posts, in the absence of company blogs, are another way. And there are many more ways to bring people to a place.

Cool, Ari! I’ve never been there, either, but it sounds good. I hope it’s still there when I decide to try it out.

Can’t wait to hear about it, Ari. My Mom grew up in Newburyport. I was there twice last year. I’ll have to see if it’s worth checking out next time. :)
