Looking back at October

With a tip of the hat to Michael Martine and his best of Remarkablogger for October, and in recognition of many new readers over the past week or two, I offer you a snippet of my most popular articles from last month’s collection of 42:

Moving to Wordpress:

  1. Why I Moved From Blogger to Wordpress
  2. How I Moved from Blogger to Wordpress

Increasing Your Productivity:

  1. Why I Write Blog Titles Before Blog Posts
  2. Treat Your Blog as a Child
  3. How YouTube Helps Us Vote
  4. How I Use Twitter (and Why You and TBS Should Care)
  5. Lifestyle Blogs Can Help You Save Money
  6. Be Aware of Your Computer and Online Security
  7. Should Email Addresses Be Required in Blog Comments?
  8. Do Your Customers Believe in Your Mission Statement?
  9. If Presented the Choice, Will You Lead Your Tribe?
  10. Key Quotes on New Marketing and Social Media

For various reasons, the most commented article (with 12 so far) is about a Boston-based interactive marketing agency, 451 Marketing, which I called out in “New Media Communications Firm Misrepresents Itself.” Eventually, the senior partner responded and we’ve since spoken in person more casually.

A few days ago, I retreated into the past and explained why I created my own consulting business in a “Thank You For Inspiring Me.” I urge you to read that if you’d like to better understand why I write what I do.

Finally, I point you to my request for you to define social media in 140 characters or less before November 7. That gives you another week to think of a response.

As I begin my second day of November, are there any topics or issues involving social media or online marketing you’d like me to cover? If so, please post a comment below or you are welcome to send me an email message.

Additionally, if you are interested in writing a guest post, let me know what you’re interested in sharing!
