Poverty: A Plea for Action

by Ari Herzog on August 18, 2008 · 1 comment

I challenge you to talk about poverty with me on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.

But don’t tell me in person, over the phone, or in an email.

Blog about it.

For the second year in a row, the United Nations is supporting Blog Action Day, a period of 24 hours when the entire world’s bloggers, podcasters, and videocasters come together to discuss a singular issue.

In 2007 on the theme of the Environment, we saw bloggers running environmental experiments, detailing innovative ideas on creating sustainable practices and focusing audience’s attentions on organizations and companies promoting green agendas.

In 2008 we aim to again focus the blogging community’s energies and passions, this time on the mammoth issue of global poverty.

Join me to help cure the world of poverty. I’ll be writing about it here. I hope you will also write about it there. What do you say?

And if you don’t have a blog, shoot me an email and I’ll show you how.
