Tweeting Tweeple Will Twitter, But Twither?

by Ari Herzog on August 3, 2008 · 3 comments

Do you use Twitter? (And I don’t refer to the dictionary definition of the 1678 noun, twitter, that describes quivering, chattering, and giggling.)

Do you twit, tweet, and look back on your twats? (I don’t mean those linked definitions, either.)

Upon Twittr’s initial release two years ago, a TechCrunch question on the interestingness of twittering saw 86 comments. A follow-up post this summer, with the single exclamation, Twitter!, saw 432 comments.

Twither is twittering, twitting, tweeting, and twattering going, I ask you fine tweeple of twis twlog?

In recent weeks, I’ve blogged (or twlogged) about Twitter in the realm of Web 2.0, the relevance of embracing change, risky businesses, the U.S. Congress, government as a whole, 1.4 billion Planet Earth citizens, and you as a social networking ambassador.

Some of my ideas stem from Twitter searches and Tweet scans; and I use a Twitter Feed to update my tweeple about new blog posts, such as this one.

From parodies like Twatter and dictionaries like Twictionary to 101 everyday uses for Twitter, I ask again: Twither is twittering, twitting, tweeting, and twattering going?

I’d ask the twite, but I don’t think its song will suffice.

What do you think?

I like the concept of Twitter. And I think it can be useful for people to promote, update, etc. I like hearing about politicians using it, CEOs, etc…it helps people who are normally “untouchable” better connect with people who want to hear from them.

For me? Eh. Not so much. I like reading other people’s tweets, but don’t really tweet myself. If I do, it’s usually a reply to a friend’s tweet.
