When it comes to plugins, I don’t like having to put files outside the plugins directory; that’s because I’m forgetful and come upgrade time, I’ll end up deleting them and messing everything up. So one goal for this plugin was to keep it to one simple file that could be uploaded into the plugins directory, activated, and forgotten about.

Ari, first of all, thank you for the mention here. Also I wanted to say that I agree with you 100% that blog comments can really eventually result in connections elsewhere and even real friendship – I’ve seen that happen already and I know that it is the best part of the entire web 2.0 concept.

Ari, thanks for your link. I didn’t say that it wasn’t selfish to want a lot of subscribers. In fact, I agreed that it was a selfish goal. But it’s an honest goal. And, in my reply to your comment back at my blog, I indicated that it was a combination of content and networking that was important.

If the content’s crap, there’s no future. No question about that.
