Want to know what Twitter is about?

Begin by watching this informative video:

You only have to browse through archived blog posts I’ve written about Twitter to see its diverse applications.

Entire blogs, such as TwiTip, have been created with guest post about the microblogging social tool. For instance, here’s an inspiring article by a medical doctor on how to use Twitter to lose weight. Would you rather want to know how to be productive while tweeting?

It’s important to consider Twitter is a different animal than Friendster, MySpace, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to name a few other social media sites. The ones I named are built around building a community around mutuality; you can’t be connected to me on Facebook or LinkedIn unless I agree to be connected to you. On Twitter, you can “follow” my tweets and it’s my choice if I want to follow you back.

And therein lies the beauty of the system.
